Illinois Bred Thoroughbred Mare
RRP 2025 Eligible Mare - Confirmed Eligible for the Broodmare Division
Paige is a gorgeous sport horse mare who was surrendered to our rescue by her breeder.
While she wasn't the best racehorse she was used as a broodmare after racing but sadly lost her last foal in 2024.
Paige is currently in our professional training program.
Paige is a lovely example of a sport horse mare who could go in many directions.
She is a big presence but is respectful and sweet and built like a brick house.
She will fool everyone into thinking she's a warmblood.
She is the same horse every day and is not spooky at all.
You will not need to lunge her, just get on a go!
We have ridden her over tarps, around poles, carried flags, and she wasn't bothered at all.
She has a beautiful frame and under saddle and carries herself very well.
Started over baby cross rails and doing really well and free jumps very nicely.
We think she would excel in Dressage, Western Dressage, Obstacles. and as a Hunter/Jumper
She gets better with every ride and loves to play and do activities that challenge her and keep her engaged.
She has lovely Liberty work and also enjoys free lunging.
She will collect up well and can be ridden bitless or in a bridle.
She can also be ridden in a halter and is great!
She has been ridden bareback, English, and Western.
She stands well for mounting and often just needs 1-2 circles before she stands calmly.
She has been ridden in an indoor and outdoor larger arenas.
She is very light in the bridle and her face and prefers a light hand.
As she is a bigger framed mare she would do better with front shoes, especially if ridden consistently or on rocky ground.
She does not have any stable vices or bad habits.
She retired sound and has no history or lameness and does not require any maintenance.
She is almost too much of an easy keeper and only get unlimited Alfalfa/ Grass hay each day and that's all - no grain.
She loads well in a straight load ramp and slant load step up trailer with minimal encouragement.
She is up to date on wormer, Coggins, vaccinations, teeth floating, and farrier care.
Paige wants to be your next sport horse mare and find her forever partner!
Adoption fee: $2,500
